Alien Ant Farm

Today, and the past few days, have seen multiple contractors working at the same time.  We have had the HVAC contractor, plumber, electrician and roofers in the past few days.

The roofers completed most of the first tier of the roof.  I assume they'll finish up tomorrow as there is a lot less ground for them to cover tomorrow.

The roofers also installed the sliding glass door.  This will go out on to the deck... which will be built by a private contractor in September.

On Saturday, we did our walk through with the electrician.  This meeting was to see what was included in our price and decide if there was any lighting we needed to add.  We added some lighting in the kitchen, living room, den and all the bedrooms.  No overhead lighting is included in any main room aside from the kitchen.  We thought that a bit strange since an overhead light IS included in each of the walk in closets.

At the end of the day, we didn't do too bad.  We stayed pretty well within our budget.  If you don't think you can live without overhead lights in bedrooms, add some money as a PPI line-item just to be safe.

And, what I'm most excited about, the plumber was in today.  The garden tub and shower were installed in the master bathroom along with a lot of other lines throughout the house.

I'm not 100% sure what else is going on this week.  I assume the roofers, electrician, plumber, etc will all finish up.  I'll keep you posted!  As always, if you have any questions, please let me know!
